At the end of Chapter 9, Jonas recalls a time when he was given a brief lesson in language precision after he says, �I�m starving!� instead of �I�m hungry!� I was considered a lie. Can you think of other phrases like �I�m starving!� that people commonly say that would be considered a lie in Jonas�s world? Also what expressions do we use today that can be misinterpreted due to culture or location/environment?

IE: If we are due to run a few miles for P.E. class, one might say, "I'm going to die in P.E. tomorrow."
Precisely that would mean we will literally loose our lives when we have to run such a long distance. However, in use of conversation it only means we will suffer from being out of shape but not Literally DIE.
