At the end of Chapter 9, Jonas recalls a time when he was given a brief lesson in language precision after he says, �I�m starving!� instead of �I�m hungry!� I was considered a lie. Can you think of other phrases like �I�m starving!� that people commonly say that would be considered a lie in Jonas�s world? Also what expressions do we use today that can be misinterpreted due to culture or location/environment?
