Hello Students!
It's PROJECT TIME which is worth 30 points so you will want to BE SURE to submit this since it's value is a substantial amount of points. This project is due in part on Wednesday 05/06/2020 and your FINAL PROJECT is due on Tuesday 05/12/2020. Please start putting this to brainstorming thoughts right away. PROJECT TITLE: Create a 3D Model of the 7 main parts of a Plant Cell as we learned on the Generation Genius video. The 7 main parts include: Nucleus, Vacuole, Mitochondria, Choroplasts, Cell Wall, Cell Membrane and Lysosome. RESOURCES: You may refer to the model presented by Dr. Jeff in the Generation Genius Video or refer to various You Tube videos for ideas. Your best resource however is your creative mind. MATERIALS: You may create your model out of recycled products that you already have at home. This way you have everything you need right there. Please realize that I don't expect you to go shopping by any means nor to spend any money. Just use your creative minds. Your materials may even include types of uncooked foods (beans, noodles, candies), seeds, strings, ribbons, cotton, beads, buttons, old batteries, marbles, rubber bands, tooth picks, clay, and of course glue and perhaps paint. You may choose to create your cell model inside of an old shoe box. PURPOSE OF PROJECT: To display your understanding of the 7 main parts of a plant cell and their basic functions as described on the Generation Genius video. Your project's grade is based on the following requirements: (10 Points each) 1- Proper arrangements and sizes of 7 main parts of a plant cell. 2- Display the name of each part on a small piece of paper and attach it to a toothpick and then to the cell part. 3- Create a chart describing the purpose and main function of the 7 main parts of the cell. Situate your chart beside your Plant Cell Model. DUE MAY 6TH: BRAINSTORM thoughts on paper on HOW you will create your model and submit it to me. We can discuss more during our Study Halls this week. FINAL PROJECT DUE DATE: Tuesday, May 12, 2020 I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR SUBMISSIONS!! MS B https://www.generationgenius.com/?share=E95EB |

Good Morning Students!
I look forward to seeing you all at 3:00 for class time. Remember, the most important thing that you can do right now is to attend class at school.....wearing your uniform of course. None of us are on vacation right now but you can look forward to a nice week-end. The second most important thing that you can do is to submit you homework on time. Speaking of homework, your new assignment is due on Thursday, April 9th as follows, please read the article entitled, "Seeking Asylum from Climate Change." Then, select one of the questions at the bottom of the article to answer. This is under "What's Your Take?" You are required to write a one paragraph answer (5-6 sentences). The first sentence should be a copy of the question you are answering. This is a short article and won't take you long to complete it. With that in mind, I do expect to receive ALL submissions by 3:00PM on Thursday, April 9th. I believe that all of you can do this so let's get on it class! Thank you!!! Ms B |

Hello!
Thank you for turning in yesterday's homework. For today, please refer back to the interesting article about climate change, "A Promise to help the Planet. While it's fresh in your brain, I require you to write a 1 or 2 (if you are really enthusiastic to do so....I hope) paragraphs regarding the possible ways to slow climate change. This must, of course be in your own words! Refrain from copying directly from the text. I look forward to reading them.! Thank you class! Ms B |
